ExTrome™ MDM is a cutting-edge biofertilizer formulated using Microbial Dark Matter (MDM)—a consortium of uncultured, naturally occurring beneficial microorganisms. These microbes are sourced from diverse ecological niches and are known for their unique metabolic capabilities that enhance soil fertility and plant health.

Scientific Composition & Mechanism of Action:

  • Phosphate Solubilizing Fungi (PSF):
    ExTrome™ contains specialized strains of fungi capable of solubilizing insoluble forms of phosphorus (such as tricalcium phosphate, iron phosphate, and aluminum phosphate) into bioavailable forms. This enhances phosphorus uptake by plants, promoting robust root development and improved flowering and fruiting.
  • Microbial Dark Matter (MDM):
    MDM refers to the vast majority of microbial species that are not easily cultured in laboratory conditions. These microbes play a crucial role in nutrient cycling, organic matter decomposition, and suppression of soil-borne pathogens. ExTrome™ harnesses this hidden microbial diversity to restore soil microbiome balance and resilience.
  • Biocontrol Activity:
    The microbial consortium in ExTrome™ produces a range of antimicrobial compounds, enzymes, and secondary metabolites that inhibit the growth of phytopathogens such as Fusarium spp., Pythium spp., and Rhizoctonia solani, thereby reducing the incidence of root rot, damping-off, and wilt diseases.
  • Plant Growth Promotion:
    The biofertilizer enhances the production of phytohormones like indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), gibberellins, and cytokinins, which stimulate cell division, elongation, and overall plant vigor.
